Hosting
This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, United States. Site content is served from that host’s delivery infrastructure.
The site’s email is delivered by Resend, which does not host the site. Its role is described in the Privacy policy.
What this site and the Cab-Club are
The cabestian.com site presents our construction project direction consulting. It also presents the Cab-Club, a free community of construction and real-estate professionals.
The Cab-Club offers tool profiles, articles, tips and videos. A monthly letter, at most one email a month, is sent to people who asked for it and confirmed their address. The Cab-Club is not a sold service: it has no customer account and no payment.
Intellectual property
Our content
The texts, visual identity, logos, illustrations, animations, videos and code of this site are protected by intellectual property law and remain the property of Cabestian, unless stated otherwise. The names Chronos, Kairos and Alètheia are distinctive signs belonging to the publisher.
You may read this content, print it for your own use and briefly quote it with the source. Any other reproduction, representation, adaptation or use, in whole or in part, needs our prior written permission.
The third-party tools we mention
The Cab-Club presents tools and software we did not create. Their names, logos and trademarks belong to their holders. Their licences remain those their authors chose, including for open-source software. We claim no right over these tools.
We are not the publisher, distributor or reseller of these tools, and we have no commercial partnership with them unless a profile says so. A tool’s name only identifies and describes it: it implies no link with its holder and no endorsement by them.
What we write about a tool (the text of a profile, our summaries, our tips) remains our content.
Tool profiles are reference points, not an audit
Cab-Club profiles are reference points. They summarise what the tool publisher’s public documentation says, with a link to the source. They are not an audit, a full test, a purchase recommendation, or legal, technical, tax or security advice.
A tool missing from a list is not judged worse. A tool that appears is not guaranteed to suit your project. Features, prices, licences and versions change: check with the publisher before choosing or buying. For a choice that commits your company, your data or a client, have a competent person validate it.
Correcting or removing a profile at an author’s request
If you are the author, publisher or rights holder of a tool we mention and you want a profile corrected or removed, write to contact@cabestian.com. This is the only address for it, so that nothing gets lost. In your message, give:
- the profile concerned (its web address);
- who you are and in what capacity you speak for the tool;
- what is wrong or what you ask us to remove, and why;
- if possible, a source we can check.
We acknowledge receipt and correct any demonstrated factual error. When a rights holder asks with reasons, we may hide or remove the profile while we examine the request. We then tell you what follows.
External links
The site contains links to sites and services run by others. We offer them for your convenience and because they serve as sources. We do not control their content, their availability or their rules on your data. When you leave cabestian.com, the terms and policy of that site apply to you, not ours.
Appointment booking goes through Cal.com, whose terms govern what you enter in its form. If a link is broken, misleading or dangerous, report it to contact@cabestian.com.
Acceptable use
The contact form and the Cab-Club sign-up are for writing to us and joining the community. We ask you to:
- give your own email address and accurate information;
- not sign up another person without their knowledge;
- not send unlawful, abusive, discriminatory or misleading content, or unsolicited advertising;
- not send us confidential data of clients, third parties or your employer, or secrets or passwords;
- not try to disrupt the site, bypass its protections (including the form’s anti-robot check), query it in bulk or reach what is not meant for you;
- not impersonate another person or company.
What you write to us remains yours. We use it to answer you, as the Privacy policy describes. We may not follow up on a message that breaks these rules, remove an address from the list and block abusive use, with care and, where possible, telling you why. A sign-up that the person concerned has not confirmed through the email link is never activated.
Liability
We strive to present accurate information. We correct an error as soon as we learn of it, on request or on our own initiative, and we review these texts when the site changes.
The site and the Cab-Club are free and offered as we hold them. Information may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate, notably because third-party tools change without notice. The information on the site is indicative, and we owe reasonable care (an obligation of means), not a result. It is neither legal advice nor personalised consulting.
We are not liable for the tool you choose, how you use it, any resulting damage, or the content and operation of third-party sites and tools. Nor are we liable for an interruption of the site caused by an event beyond our control, including a host or network outage.
Nothing in this text excludes or limits our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, for personal injury, or for anything the law does not allow us to exclude or limit, notably the rights you hold under the General Data Protection Regulation and, if you act as a consumer, under consumer law.
Availability
We aim for continuous access but do not guarantee it. We may interrupt the site for maintenance, an update, a security reason or because our host is unavailable. We may change, suspend or end part of the site or of the Cab-Club.
Changes to these texts
We may change these texts, for example when the law changes, when the site changes or when a provider changes. Each version shows its date of last update.
For a substantive change, meaning one that changes your rights, the purpose of data processing, a provider that receives your data or the limits of our liability, we publish the new text before it applies. When the change affects processing based on your consent, we ask for your consent again before applying it. A formal correction (typo, contact details, link) applies as soon as it is published. Continuing to browse the site never replaces a consent the law requires.
Governing law
These texts are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, we first look for an amicable solution: write to contact@cabestian.com. Failing that, the dispute falls to the courts with jurisdiction under the applicable rules of law, including the mandatory rules that let you bring a case before the courts where you live.
For personal data, you may contact the French data protection authority at any time, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL), 3 place de Fontenoy, 75007 Paris, cnil.fr.
Accessibility
This site aims for comfortable keyboard and mouse use, sufficient contrast, and behaviour that respects your system’s “reduce motion” setting. If you meet an obstacle, report it to contact@cabestian.com, naming the page and what blocks you: we will look for a solution or another way to access the content.
